Field Hockey Corner: Matchvue Launches a New Weekly Show Dedicated to Field Hockey

A Matchvue Original | Hosted by Olympian and Hall of Famer Nick Sandhu

VANCOUVER, BC — Matchvue Streaming is proud to introduce Field Hockey Corner, an exciting weekly sports program dedicated to bringing the stories, personalities, competitions and achievements of field hockey to audiences across Canada and around the world.

Hosted by Canadian field hockey Olympian and Hall of Famer Nick Sandhu, the 30-minute weekly show delivers a fresh perspective on the sport, connecting grassroots hockey with the national and international field hockey community.

From local clubs in British Columbia to major international tournaments, Field Hockey Corner aims to give field hockey the recognition, coverage and platform it deserves.

From British Columbia to the World

Field Hockey Corner follows a simple philosophy: Local Passion. National Pride. Global Hockey.

Each episode brings together important developments from across the field hockey world, including:

• Vancouver Men’s Field Hockey League (VMFHL): Weekly results, standings, match highlights and league developments across the Premier Division and Divisions 1, 2 and 3.
• Canadian Field Hockey: National team news, youth development, university competitions and interviews with players and coaches.
• International Field Hockey: Coverage of major competitions including the Sultan of Johor Cup, Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, Asian Champions Trophy and other international events.
• Calgary Field Hockey: Updates from the Calgary Pro Hockey League and the growing field hockey community in Alberta.
• Exclusive Interviews: Conversations with Olympians, coaches, administrators, emerging athletes and individuals helping shape the future of field hockey.

Hosted by Olympian Nick Sandhu

At the heart of Field Hockey Corner is host Nick Sandhu, whose experience as an Olympian and Hall of Famer brings credibility, insight and a deep understanding of the game.

Through expert analysis and conversations with leading personalities, Nick takes viewers beyond the scoreboard to explore the people, challenges and achievements that make field hockey special.

The show has already featured conversations with prominent members of the hockey community, including Gary Sangha, Canadian national program coach Geoff Matthews and Calgary field hockey organizer Sukhdeep Singh.

Giving Grassroots Athletes a Bigger Stage

For years, field hockey has struggled to receive consistent media exposure despite its passionate community and strong sporting traditions.

Matchvue is working to change that.

Through its livestreaming platform, original programming and partnerships with field hockey organizations, Matchvue is creating new opportunities for athletes, clubs and leagues to reach audiences beyond their local communities.

Field Hockey Corner is an extension of that commitment.

The show celebrates not only elite athletes but also the volunteers, parents, coaches, officials and community organizations who keep the sport growing.

Every young athlete deserves to be seen. Every club deserves a voice. Every game deserves an audience.

More Than a Sports Show

Field Hockey Corner is part of Matchvue’s broader vision to build a sustainable media platform for underrepresented sports.

By combining live match coverage, weekly news programming, athlete interviews and community storytelling, Matchvue aims to connect fans with the sport throughout the year.

The program also provides opportunities for businesses and community sponsors to support grassroots sports while reaching a highly engaged audience of athletes, families and sports enthusiasts.
